Owen

This morning I asked Owen if he could make his bed. He said he could and without any help. I heard him in there for about 5 minutes bumping into the wall, so I knew he was working hard to do a good job. When I went in to check his progress this is what I found. He did such a good job I thought I would share.

While I'm sharing things about Owen here are a few more:

***This afternoon Owen and I went out to get the mail. He pulled the mail out of the mail box and a Geico flyer fell on the ground. He picked it up and said, "Hey it's from Deico. It saves you money!"

***Lately when I tell Owen that I love him, he responds by saying, "I like you, mommy."

***The other day Jason, teasing Owen, told him that he was going to kick his bum. Owen replied, "Please don't kick my butt. OK?"

***The last time it snowed Owen and I drove over to my sisters's house. When we got out of the car he said, "Mommy, look at all this fresh snow." I later came to realize he learned that phrase from Max and Ruby, which is one of his favorite shows. We have 31 episodes recorded and every morning he asks for specific episodes.

Owen is becoming quite the smart, funny little boy. He makes me laugh so much. He's growing up so fast, that he's not a baby anymore. But he still does love to snuggle with me.

Owen's awesome...he's old enough to make his bed? wow. I love it when the kids actually take pride in their household chores. It's nice. Rebecca

Those were so cute! Thanks for sharing. I love the cute things kids say. I know what you mean about your youngest growing up and not being your baby. I find I'm holding on to my youngest a little longer and tighter and enjoying him. Fortunately he's a cuddler too.
