For our last activity before summer ends and school begins we went up Millcreek Canyon for a open fire cookout with our family. Since we weren't able to go camping this summer we had to get all our camping activities into one day. The kids loved roasting hot dogs and smore's over an open fire, chopping wood, shooting the BB gun, exploring the mountains and just getting dirty. It is amazing how dirty a kid can get in a matter of a few hours.

Your boys got to be manly men on this trip, chopping wood and shooting bb guns! We got a cheap little fire pit for the deck or back yard and Chris made smores with the boys the other weekend. Next time we need to do it when I'm around so I can enjoy them. The chocolate never melts the way they show it in ads though. Oh well, still tastes good!

Just like I said before...dirt & boys...go together! Looks like fun! Natalie went camping for the first time since she was 1 with her uncle this summer! We don't camp...My poor deprived children! I'll send them to you, and you can take them! Ya!
