Jason has seen the twiLIGHT!

It is true. Last Saturday night Jason went with some of his football coaching buddies and saw the movie Twilight! And he LOVED it!!! Well...he said it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be. But he did say it had a good story and could have been a good movie if it didn't have so much cheese. What is to be learned from this? Never say never. (I guess I should mention that the wives of all the guys were there too. But is sounded much better saying that just the guys went.) Have I gone too far posting this?

Jason’s rebuttal:

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Let’s not get carried away with half truths on an issue that could jeopardize my man card. Yes, I did see Twilight and yes I said “it was not as bad as expected”, but I did not say it had a good story and I did not enjoy it. Frankly, the whole thing was disturbing. Vampires with excessive white powder and lipstick who live in a multi-million dollar mansion, drive luxury cars and move around the forest like flying squirrels is a little too freakish for me. Also, as a general rule, I don’t hang around with people whose every instinct is to kill me so I had a hard time understanding the premise of the movie. Overall, I left the movie feeling like I had just bathed in cheese whiz, and that was the best part. From young girls behind us crying to watching the Big 12 Conference championship on my phone, it was an unforgettable experience. Can I have my eight dollars back?

Jason - I don't think your man card is jeapordized. From what I hear Twilight is a love story and men don't typically like that sort of stuff. And you went with your football coaching buddies. Sounds like a guys night to me. haha. Now the question is are you going to start reading the books?

For another man's opinion, Howeser, you are a fairy. Plain and simple. It would have been one thing if Laura had yet to see the movie, really wanted to but had no one to go with, and you volunteered as a caring husband to go with her. But... SHE HAD ALREADY SEEN THE MOVIE! You went because you wanted to and no amount of denial after the fact can save you. Maybe you can go get a manicure next week with Laura or some sort of waxing. Pansy.

OK - So Andy? You're a blogger? Right on...

Jason - thanks for taking one for the guys (or with them rather). I read to Justin for about five minutes one of the books - he told me to stop and never do that to him again. He won't be stepping anywhere near the "cheeze".

So we really need to see you guys - it's been what - 5 years?

LOL! You guys are too funny. I don't know what's worse....seeing the movie or you and andy blogging on your wifes blogs because you know you want to join the blogging world but feel your manhood would be threatened by it.

Laura, for pete sake, post your cute idea! it's just sharing your idea with the rest of us so we can still it! it's not showing off.....

Okay, that just made me laugh! My husband still refuses to see it! He won't have much choice when it comes out on DVD and me and the girls watch it endlessly! And Andy's comment makes me laugh even harder! Man, I needed this post today..hehehe!
